Acid Rain is more acidic than normal rain. It is one of the many kinds of air pollution. When coal burns it releases a lot of sulfur oxides into trees and sleet, snow, fog, and dry particles carry nitrogen oxides and sulfur oxides into trees and lakes. When acid rain becomes very strong it can damage surfaces of statues, buildings, cars etc. The water in ponds and lakes can become so acidic, that plants, amphibians, fish, and insects suffer and die. To make the acid percentage go down people could burn less coa. We need to contribute to more rain and less Acid rain.

Hi cool post.Anyways the difference between acid rain and photochemical smog is that acid rain is when chemicals mix with water while mine is when they mix with sunlight. Also mine forms a fog/smoke type thing called smog while your forms acid rain of course.
Mer!!!!
Your writing was very descriptive and gave me a thought and idea of what acid rain is. There are many similarities and differences within our pollutions. For example, They were both caused by humans actions. A difference is how they affect people. Your pollution damaged buildings as to my pollution damages peoples lungs and causes a cough.
All in all, your paragraph was interesting to read and i got a lot from it!! :)
